Pranav Menon is GreenPoint Law & Compliance’s Director of Legal Services and International Data Privacy Regulatory Specialist. He worked closely with GreenPoint’s Founder – Sanjay Sharma – on a practical guide for navigating the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (Wiley, 2019). Pranav is a licensed attorney barred in New York State with multi-jurisdictional legal knowledge across diverse legal fields. He originally hails from India, where he completed his BA. LLB. degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, India, specializing in Indian intellectual property, technology, and media laws. Pranav holds a master’s degree (LL.M.) and doctorate degree (S.J.D.) from Penn State Law., the Pennsylvania State University.

Pranav consumes and analyzes content at a rapid pace, at his leisure. His doctoral dissertation — focused on the legal issues surrounding digital immortality and the afterlife economy — is to be published as a research monograph by Routledge Taylor & Francis Group in 2026. The book will examine the exploitation of celebrities past their death through the use of modern-day technologies, along with the ramifications it will have on their legacies and the entertainment industry at-large. Pranav is also contributing a Chapter on ‘AI, Intellectual Property, and Art’ in Routledge's forthcoming handbook on AI Law & Policy.

Pranav currently resides in PA oversees and manages GreenPoint Law & Compliance’s day-to-day operations, projects, and clients.
